Sky broadband setup problems




















Yup, Sky broadband and talktalk residential for that matter has been an absolute nightmare for remote access vpns, getting much worse recently.

Sky broadband and several others have huge problems when it comes to VPN connections. Have upgraded several of our clients to Eclipse Business broadband at home and have had no problems since.

I have got around the issue by replacing the Router with a different model. Thanks all, this pretty much confirms my suspicions. Hopefully we'll be able to fudge something within the VPN client which will make everything work again. I'll post back if I find a solution! Although it's not a true fix, one of our guys has managed to get a stable connection by changing his home network's IP address range to be different from our company one.

Makes you think the people being ripped off for Sky VoIP when you move to your own VoIP service who can provide calls for less than a penny and mobile minutes for 2p! I have been with sky for years and everytime i have had any trouble they have quickly fixed this and also even provided a booster for wifi we have numerous devices connected including my work pc two sky q boxes a laptop 5 mobile phones three android tablets an xbox and one item in router which is another xbox do not have problem with speeds had problem with lagging on one xbox cleared cache and after still lagged cleared data as well and reset router was totally fine after and no lag i honestly believe there customer service is usually fantastic.

I normally get 50 mbs download but when I activate my vpn it cuts it by half and sometimes more. So frustrating. Will this firm update apply to the sky Q er? I have the DHCP issue with my works phone dropping out all the time when power cut.
