These drivers would have been included in the recovery disks if you had made them as per HP instructions. What happend to your recovery and the HP tools partition was as a result of the method you used to reinstall win.
I have a HP laptop that is having issues. I have a Belkin transfer cable and was going to transfer all personal data to another laptop and then do a system recovery and just start over.
