If it's not I'm not sure that it would be the same but lets give it a try anyway. Sounds like you need to determine first which driver in the HID that needs the update. You should be able to do this by checking the properties of each.

If you find a driver listed there that is no longer needed from a previous device I would delete it and this would also help to determine which one to upgrade. When this is determined point it to the folder that contain the unzipped drivers to update it.

Then go back to the device drivers after a reboot and see if there is a new device pertaining to Kensington. If there is then the buttons on the mouse should be active and ready to program.
